"To me, my biggest victory and what means most to me now, is my scholarship." - Denny Crum

Scholar Spotlight:

“To put myself through school, I had to work a full-time job, leaving no time to gain valuable experience and networking outside of the classroom. Because of the Denny Crum Scholarship, I was able to reduce my hours at work. I took on a series of internships which not only lead me to two job offers, but also allowed me a dream position; working as a strength coach; in one of Louisville’s prominent gyms.”

Head Coach Emeritus, Denny Crum has been a staple at this University for over 45 years. Through his leadership, tireless effort, commitment to excellence, and extreme generosity the University of Louisville is a very different institution than it was when Coach arrived in 1971. We are on an upward trajectory in both academics and athletics and believe every student should have the opportunity to experience the University without fear of life-long debt. Coach’s scholarship supports this belief. If you have ever asked yourself what you can do with your philanthropy to make a meaningful impact, maybe the Denny Crum Scholarship Fund at UofL is your answer.

Because of the many donors, patrons, and volunteers; the Denny Crum Scholarship has awarded over $750,000 since 2001. As of 2016, over 350 scholarships have been awarded to students from the Greater Louisville area.

To thank the coach and make a difference in a student’s experience, make a gift today.
